Water Savings

The entire Salvajor product line is designed with water savings in mind. All disposer assemblies / packages and systems have built-in water flow restrictors. The disposer's large verticle mixing chamber results in a more consistent water to waste ratio thus requiring less water. Salvajor's food waste systems reduce water usage by recirculating water with a minimal amount of incoming fresh water.

Here are examples of the water saving you can expect with Salvajor products:

ScrapMaster vs. Fresh Water Trough
The typical uncontrolled single-entry fresh water trough and disposer assembly consumes up to 14 gallons per minute while a ScrapMaster system, with integral water flow controls, is limited to 7 gallons per minute. Typical water and sewer costs are $2.93 for 100 cubic feet. The annual water and sewer cost savings resulting from the varying use of a ScrapMaster are

Collector vs. Pre-rinse and Disposer
First of all, the entire line of Salvajor Collectors use only 2 gallons of fresh water per minute! A disposer with a pre-rinse can use in excess of 10 gallons per minute depending on how much the pre-rinse is used. Again, using typical water and sewer costs of $2.93 for 100 cubic feet, the annual water and sewer cost savings resulting from the varying use of a Salvajor Collector are as follows:
